Let's Learn Collectively On Our Life's Journey has a new home!

Last Jam Session of 2023 will be Echoing in the distance!

Last Jam Session of 2023 will be Echoing in the distance!

That's right! The last Jam Session of the year was Thursday, October 26th at which time members broke off into committees to undertake program development for L L C O O L J! The action committees are the life force of L L C O O L J and is where key decisions are made and acted upon. What are L L C O O L J's action committees? Members contribute to either the Environmental Justice, Housing, Energy + Utilities, Mentorship, or Grant Writing committees (or all of them!). The action committees meet throughout the year and work toward developing and funding equity-infusing programs for our community while learning how to simplify bureaucracy to ease the interaction with Government. Members often direct programs and are able to teach others as they matriculate through L L C O O L J (Let's Learn Collectively On Our Life's Journey). Weekly Jam Sessions are great opportunities to get a sense of which committee is right for you. They are held weekly on Thursdays during the first 2 months of each quarter of the year (Jan-February, April-May, July-Aug, Oct-Nov).

Last Thursday, WCCO's Shayla Michelle Reaves blessed us with a riveting presentation surrounding her book, Echo In The Distance. Not only was it inspiring, but members were treated to a Q&A that catapulted the conversation from Martin Luther King to the MAAFA to 1619 to the Good Ship Jesus! If you missed it, you missed a lot! Stay tuned for updates to the site (ilovepaperwork.org) containing highlights from this year's Jam Sessions. L L C O O L J Thanks Shayla Reaves for her time and wonderfully informing conversation centered on King's message of holding on to your dream and overcoming tremendous obstacles presented throughout time.
